The Master in Public Administration will be capable of generating excellent results in different government functions, either in the public sector at the federal, state or municipal level, or in the business and finance environment, under a clear ethical orientation.

Perfil de ingreso

Basically undergraduates in business-economic area: economics, management, or accounting and engineering.

People with majors in related fields who have completed their studies and who have experience in the field of Public Administration and Finance.

 

Students from other fields must present a diagnostic exam in knowledge of economics, administration and mathematics.

The program is also open to government officials working in taxes, tax design, planning, expenditure, or finance

Professional lobbyists, members of NGOs or political parties, executives of public or private companies who need to develop and perfect the theoretical and practical tools in public finance.

Perfil de egreso

The graduate of the program in Master’s in Public Administration at Universidad Panamericana, will develop the following knowledge, skills, and attitudes:

 

  • Understand and apply financial decision processes to implement the best policies to achieve Public Administration with a focus on results for the benefit of citizens
  • Be able to synthesize the various areas of knowledge in this field: economic, technical, planning, management and statistics;
  • Use this knowledge to study problems related to public administration
  • Have a full knowledge of the reality and needs of the country, in public administration, thus being able to correctly detect and diagnose problems and propose appropriate and feasible solutions
  • Develop an attitude of permanent search for the truth, based on a scientifically rigorous method.
  • Maintain a critical attitude towards the knowledge acquired in the course and be able to apply it to the current economic, political, and social circumstances of the country.
  • Be able to conduct rigorous empirical studies that serve as the foundation for recommendations on the projects undertaken by the public and private sectors
  • Critically assess plans and programs, analyzing fiscal sustainability, to help them to be as productive and efficient as possible
  • Demonstrate ability to conduct field research in their field of expertise
  • Be able to apply economic tools for the determination of performance indicators in the allocation of budget expenditures of the three levels of government
  • Be prepared to present executive reports
