Specialist course in Philosophical Anthropology

The specialist course in Philosophical Anthropology aims to form participants with a philosophical view of man which will allow him or her to ground arguments in favor of: man’s capacity for truth, the irreducibility of human life to its material components, and the need for openness to others and to transcendence. To reach this aim, we have created a program which will allow participants to acquire competencies which can be applied to different fields of knowledge: the theoretical principles of anthropology.

The specialist course in Philosophical Anthropology is open to graduates of any

field or discipline who have developed the following competencies: analysis

and synthesis, organization and planning, information management, problem

solving and decision making, interdisciplinary teamwork, critical thinking, ethical

commitment, initiative and creativity, leadership, sensitivity to the humanities and

autonomous learning.

Perfil de egreso

Knowledge:

Proper handling of anthropological and humanistic terms and concepts.

Knowledge of different philosophical schools of thought in regards to the human

person.

Skills:

Development of capacity to critique and analyze ethical, political, and human rights

issues

Bibliographical research skills

Reflection and analysis of everyday information

Identification of different rationalities

Attitudes:

Sensitivity to human problems without losing perspective

Ability to understand different idiosyncrasies

Opciones de titulación

To obtain the degree as a Specialist in Philosophical Anthropology, the participant

will submit a research paper based on a field of knowledge, or amplification of a

state of the art. The paper will normally be of about 60 pages.
