UP ALUMNUS APPOINTED CEO OF GERMAN BUNDY COMPANY

Zapopan, Jalisco; September 28, 2017-Ivan Fernando Rodríguez, alumnus of the Masters program in Engineering with Specialty in Optimization of Productive Systems, was appointed executive director of the German refrigeration company: Bundy. The new CEO discussed relevant points about this new achievement and his trajectory.

 

The company has had a global presence for over 50 years in eight different countries. Bundy is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of refrigeration components in the domestic, residential and commercial areas.

 

The Mr. Rodríguez said he started in the company as Director of Global Operations, after a head-hunter invited him to participate in the international selection process. "After 15 months I had the possibility to take responsibility as executive director," he commented.

 

Asked about the challenges he faces, the new CEO stressed the global and highly competitive nature present in the professional world. This forces us, "as professionals to have a change towards diversity, the multicultural issue and plurality of languages,"

 

Mr. Rodríguez commented that training has been a crucial part of his career. Among the tools acquired at Universidad Panamericana (UP) and which have had a positive impact on his profession, he highlighted the issue of information processing and problem solving. He shared that Mexico has a need to develop the exact sciences because of the opportunities and knowledge they bring.

 

"Contrasting information, preparing for reading, multisourcing, experimenting and specializing in segments" is some of the advice that Ivan Rodriguez shared with the student community.

 

 

He invited the students to take advantage of their time at university and stressed again the importance of mastering at least three languages. He mentioned that as a professional it is necessary to offer a differentiating element, which is acquired with knowledge and the possibility of knowing how to apply it.

 

Universidad Panamericana recognizes Ivan’s achievements and congratulates him for this new success.
