In a collaborative effort, the Zapopan City Council, together with the main universities in the metropolitan area, will develop for the 7th time the training programme oriented to entrepreneurship.

ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; March 17, 2021.

Since entrepreneurship is a great engine for the growth and development of the Mexican economy, for the seventh consecutive year the "Made in Zapopan" program will be carried out, an initiative of the Coordination of Economic Development and Combating Inequality of the Zapopan City Council in partnership with various universities in this municipality, including the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, which will begin with its sixth generation driven by Spark UP, the business incubator of the house of studies.

This will be the sixth consecutive year in which the Panamericana will be closely linked to the municipality of Zapopan, through the "Made in Zapopan" programme, which aims to encourage, promote the permanence, reconfiguration, sustainability, strengthening and development of micro and small businesses within the municipality, through training and consulting provided by leading universities in the metropolitan area and consulting firms, which support innovation and resilience of entrepreneurs, and also links them with the private sector (chambers, business associations), as well as with the three levels of government.

Spark UP, Panamericana's incubator and accelerator for high-impact companies, will act as a consultant and will put into practice its mission of searching for talented entrepreneurs to support them through consultancy and workshops, contributing to their growth by reinforcing their business model and successfully positioning themselves in the market.

The 2021 edition will close its call for proposals on Friday 19 March, for which it is expected to receive great innovative proposals that can be driven by this programme and start their entrepreneurial adventure in the real world.

"On this occasion, attending the 6th generation, we reinforce our commitment to support entrepreneurs who seek to generate a positive impact on society, sharing the vision that the institution and Spark UP have consolidated as strategic allies of the programme," said Monica Hermosillo, Director of Spark UP.
