Professor Héctor X. Ramirez Perez has a B.A. in Administration and Finance and a major in Anthropology and Ethics from UP, an MBA from Western Illinois University and a Ph.D. in Administration from Dowling College NY. He received the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society's Beta Gamma Sigma distinction for his academic performance.
Since 2003 he has worked at UP and since 2007 he has held management positions: in Guadalajara he was director of three undergraduate programs; in Campus CDMX, Dean of the School of Business and Vice Rector of Campus (currently). He is a member of the SNI, Candidate level. Professor of Management. He has scientific publications indexed in Scopus as Journal of Entrepreneurship Education, Administración y Contaduría, Emerald Publishing, IGI Global and Taylor & Francis. His research interests are strategy, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship. He has been Visiting Scholar at the U. of Nürtingen Germany and for 5 years at the U. of Strasbourg France.
