Professor José Antonio Sánchez Barroso holds a Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degree in Law, all with Honorable Mention, from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He has completed Master's and Doctorate studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He received the "Alfonso Caso" medal for academic merit, awarded by the University Council of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México for his doctoral studies. His doctoral thesis won first place in the national competition organized by the Ministry of the Interior on the national legal order.
He is currently a Professor by competitive examination at the Law School of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; Professor-Researcher at the Law School of the Universidad Panamericana, campus Mexico and; member of the National System of Researchers, level 1, of the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico. He has several publications in the area of Bioethics and Civil Law.
