Aguascalientes, December 1, 2020.-
A team made up of students from the Industrial Engineering Career and the Administration and Management Career, from the Universidad Panamericana Campus Aguascalientes, participate in the Logistics 4.0 Challenge Experience, organized by the Operations Management department of the International School of Economic Sciences and Administrative, from the Universidad de la Sabana (Colombia), the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Procolombia and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism. This international competition aims to propose solutions to problems of optimization of operating costs, operational efficiency and logistics public policy, making use of the tools of the fourth industrial revolution and articulating collaborative work between the public, private and academic sectors.
Since September 25, Andrés Luna Sagredo, María Fernanda Gutiérrez de la Riva, Brenda Patricia Díaz Arias, Brenda Lam Bustamante and Fabio Ricardo Clavijo Wilkinson have worked with great enthusiasm, effort and dedication in designing a technology-based logistics solution that facilitates the urban distribution of merchandise that are sold through the e-commerce channel of the MIPyMEs of Bogotá - Region. The proposal is based on the use of avant-garde software such as SPLUNK, which seeks to analyze the data in real time in order to offer more efficient solutions and services to the MIPyMEs studied. On November 28, the final verdict will be delivered where we expect recognition for the outstanding effort that the boys have made.
With this type of activities, the Industrial Engineering Career seeks to strengthen the experience of teamwork, solving real problems by applying the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their studies, without a doubt they are experiences that make students grow and prepare them for comprehensively to the challenges they will face in their professional future.
