Master's in Human Capital Management and Development

This program is composed by two specialist courses: Specialist in Human Capital Development, offered by the School of Pedagogy, and Specialist in Human Capital Management, offered by the School of Economic and Business Sciences. The objective of this program is to offer academic development so that participants can implement the necessary processes and contribute to the effective development and management of human capital within companies. In these companies, the human person will be placed as axis of the organization and a holistic education will be promoted so that both business and personal objectives will be combined in a common project. This program is intended for professionals and managers with leading responsibilities related to human capital or personnel management.

Perfil de ingreso
The ideal candidate will:
• Have an enterprising attitude.
• Possess the ability to develop and transform their professional practice.
• Be willing to professionalize the policy and development work in the area of human capital.
• Have a spirit of service.
• Be able to combine business goals with personal goals of employees, establishing common ground.
• Have an interest in creating development programs for innovation in the policy area.
• Possess at least a bachelor's degree level studies, preferably in Pedagogy, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
• Preferably be working in the area of human resources of a company.
• Be interested in acquiring the management skills to grow within a company.

Upon completing the program, the graduate will obtain:
Knowledge
A philosophical focus on human behavior to promote improvement in human capital
• Know the different types and nature of organizations.
• Understand the strategic planning process.
• Understand the usefulness of SWOT as a diagnostic tool.
• Know the different schools of thought in terms of leadership and management styles.
• Know the different styles of leadership and establish the right policy for their work.
Skills
• Implement and apply methods and techniques of recruitment and selection of staff.
• Offer an integrated development to human capital.
• Implement teaching - learning process in training.
• Devise strategies that assess performance evaluation of the person in a holistic way.
• Propose strategies to address compensation and control situations that contribute to excellence in the conduct of the individual in the organization.
• Provide for contingency situations that hinder the management process in the organization.
• Devise, coordinate and evaluate career plans of human capital, based on the competencies linked to these strategies.
Attitudes
• Exercise optimal leadership, motivation and communication within the management process of the company.
• Implement properly the values of justice, solidarity, and subsidiarity to all human capital within the framework of existing labor laws.
• Manifest an attitude of service in the development of their professional activity.
• Reflect a congruence of life, clarity of ideas, a result of their ethics training.
• Be a change agent, seeking the growth of the organization and the people who work in them.
• Act within a humanistic philosophy that avoids confusing means with ends.
Opciones de titulación
To obtain the Master’s degree in Development and Management of Human Capital, it is necessary to:
Pass 100% of the modules with a minimum grade of 8.
Cover the full payment of tuition.
Have turned in all necessary documents.
Carry out the paperwork and pay the corresponding fees.
Present a professional exam before a jury, based on:
a) A Thesis
b) Writing a case
c) Analysis of a case
