Master's in Mathematics Teaching

This program intends to develop professors highly specialized in knowledge processes in the field of mathematics. Therefore educational problems are overviewed through theoretical-methodological perspective analysis that allows the reformulation, development and innovation of educational proposals in the area. The main objective is to develop professionals in the field of mathematics teaching that will foster research and transform their faculty.

Perfil de ingreso

The ideal candidate will:

Have a Bachelor's or Teacher's degree, preferably in mathematics.

Be professionally involved with the teaching and learning of mathematics in grades 7-12.

Pass the admissions exam.

Be available to attend instruction hours and other program activities

Turn in all required documents

Be interested in professional development and innovation.

Be capable of developing and transforming his or her teaching practice.

Perfil de egreso

Upon completing the program, the participants will have the pedagogical and mathematic tools to improve their teaching practice. They will be able to offer their students improved teaching quality, and to carry out their teaching more effectively.

Opciones de titulación

Once participants have completed the program credits and seminars, they will present a proposal for pedagogical intervention. The University will provide students with the support they need for this process; each student will have an advisor.
