Psychology students at the Universidad Panamericana a highly competitive curriculum that emphasizes evidence-based practices, whose effectiveness has been proven and is supported by scientific research. From the start of their program, students will develop disciplinary competencies through continuous practice in various settings, problem-solving, and the consistent application of knowledge through activities that foster inductive and autonomous discovery. At UP, students not only acquire knowledge but also learn to generate it; as a result, they can collaborate on international research and intervention projects. Additionally, psychology students at UP develop a deep sense of social responsibility and acquire skills aimed at designing interventions and advising on public policies that establish the conditions for solving social problems, promoting well-being, and advancing mental health. The program also emphasizes the study of neuroscience, clinical psychology, and research.

ENTRY PROFILE

Applicants to the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology must have the characteristics that make up the entry profile:

  2. A taste for scientific knowledge and personal development.
  3. Concern to establish processes of helping relationships in different areas.
  4. Interest in study and in the Human Sciences.
  5. Analytical, synthetic, observational and collaborative skills.
  6. Ethical sense.
  7. Ability to solve problems and face new challenges.
  8. Adaptability.
  9. Reflective sense of self and the human condition.
  10. Oral, written and technological communication skills, as well as a high level of reading comprehension.
  11. Understanding of the English language.

GRADUATE PROFILE

Psychologists at the Universidad Panamericana act in accordance with the values of Christian humanism to conduct evidence-based assessment and intervention processes in various settings.

  1. To integrate the scientific knowledge of psychology within the framework of a humanistic philosophy and a Christian vision of the world, human life and society.
  2. Carry out assessments and diagnoses in the fields of psychology, using reliable techniques and tools.
  3. Ethical and responsible decision-making, based on the latest scientific contributions in the field.
  4. Designing effective psychological intervention programmes.
  5. Apply psychological principles and scientific research methods in order to have an impact on any field of psychological action.
  6. Conduct rigorous and ethical research commensurate with the nature of their profession.
