Since its inception, the activity of Universidad Panamericana has been guided by a spirit of work well done, the relentless pursuit of truth and the promotion of human virtues.
These constants are shared with Opus Dei, an institution of the Catholic Church whose specific mission is to promote among men and women from all walks of life a personal commitment to follow Christ and to promote the search for the fullness of Christian life in work, family and ordinary occupations.
In 1968, the Pan-American Institute of Humanities was created, which later gave rise to our house of studies and shares with Opus Dei the principle of living a life of integrity, according to Christian morals and virtues.
What is Opus Dei?
Its mission is to share the message that work and ordinary circumstances are occasions for encountering God, serving others and improving society. Opus Dei collaborates with local churches, offering means of Christian formation (classes, retreats, priestly care), aimed at people who wish to renew their spiritual life and their apostolate.
Its founder, St. Josemaría Escrivá, gave himself totally to the fulfillment of this mission. As part of its apostolic work - with a universal character, absolute respect for freedom and pluralism - Opus Dei has reached 68 countries on five continents.

Our motto identifies the fundamental principles that drive us as a University. The search and guardianship of truth have spiritual roots. Such truth is expressed in our motto.
All of our activities - extracurricular, cultural, administrative, teaching, maintenance - are an enterprise of freedom because they aim to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, and also its expansion: the intimate, trusting truth, proposed by God himself; and the reasoned truth, which is brought into existence by human ingenuity.
