D. in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University, has been a professor at his Alma Mater, at the University of Lille, at Princeton University and is currently a full research professor in the Faculty of Philosophy at Universidad Panamericana. Honorary member of the Institut Universitaire de France, member of the National System of Researchers, level III, promoter of the Master in Ancient Philosophy of the Universidad Panamericana, which is part of the National Program of Quality Postgraduates of the CONACYT.

Editor, co-editor and writer of more than twenty books, including Introduction to Pre-Socratic Philosophy, published in Spanish by Gredos Publishing House (2010), also published in French (original) Portuguese, English and Chinese; Plato's Second Republic: An Essay on the Laws (2022) and, above all, the co-edition with Glenn W. Most of Early Greek Philosophy in nine volumes in the Loeb Library of Harvard University Press (2016).
