Diego I. Rosales is a research professor at the Institute of Humanities at the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana), where he coordinates the Master’s Program in Practical Philosophy. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from the Pontifical University of Comillas (Madrid) and received his early philosophical training at the National Institute of Higher Education ( Universidad Panamericana ) and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is the author of the following books:*Tramas del yo. Philosophical and Literary Exercises on the Living and Life(Mexico: NUN, 2024) and*Anthropology of Desire: Personal Existence in Augustine of Hippo*(Madrid: Comillas, 2020), as well as the translator ofthebook*Note on Time* by theFrench philosopher Jean-Yves Lacoste.
His areas of research focus on the philosophy of religion, philosophical anthropology, a critique of modernity, and the connections between philosophy and literature. He approaches these areas of study through the works of St. Augustine of Hippo, key figures in phenomenology and French philosophy such as Michel Henry, Jean-Yves Lacoste, Charles Péguy, Maurice Blondel, and Simone Weil, and the works of Ivan Illich.
He is a member ofthe Latin American Circle of Phenomenology, a “corresponding” member of theAlfa Platform atthe Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and a member of theInternational Network for Philosophy of Religion(INPR) at the Catholic Institute of Paris. He is a member of theHápax Humanities Research Network, where he coordinates the “Permanent Seminar on Philosophical Anthropology”; he has taught at the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Digital Theological Institute; and he is the editor-in-chief of the journal*Conspiratio*.
