Irery Melchor-Durán holds a PhD in Administrative Sciences, a Master's degree in Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. During her doctoral studies she did research at the HEC de Montreal in Canada and at the Universidad del Rosario in Colombia. Since 2022 she has been working at Universidad Panamericana in Aguascalientes (Mexico), where she is a research professor and head of the entrepreneurship academy. She is also a member of the National System of Researchers, level C (through the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico). She has experience as a junior consultant in market research, franchising and brand valuation. She has publications in scientific journals.

Line of research: entrepreneurship in university students, the intersection of social problems with entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and religion, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
