María del Pilar Sánchez Barajas (Mexico, 1987). Degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Panamericana (2010), Master and PhD in Philosophy from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2016 and 2022, both with Honorable Mention). She completed a year of PhD study at the Universidade de Lisboa, from 2018 to 2019. She has participated as a researcher in the PAPIIT Project "Naturalizing Ethics: contributions and problems of the neurocognitive turn for contemporary moral philosophy" (IN402715) (2016 and 2017) and as coordinator of the book "Naturalizing Practical Philosophy. Ethics in Dialogue with Neurosciences". She has published several articles around the topics of the ethical and political implications of Narrative Identity and Emotions and Edith Stein's thought. She has worked as a professor at Universidad Panamericana, in Mexico City, and is currently a professor and researcher in the Department of Humanities at Universidad Panamericana, campus Guadalajara.
He has participated in international congresses and colloquia such as "Rethinking the Past. Memory/Archive/DocumentArts and Arquitecture", of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon (November 2018), "A culpa e o Tempo", of the Faculty of Law of Coimbra (November 2018), in the 4th Colloquium of History of Ethical and Political Philosophy, in Braga (with the paper entitled "After fair forgiveness", in January 2019), the VII International Congress of the IASPES - "Thinking Education: Edith Stein" (with the paper entitled "Formation at the individual and community level. The specific case of the university"), and at X International Congress of Philosophy of Education - CIFE 2023 "Philosophies for the university" in Barcelona (with the paper entitled "The foreign and the own. A reflection on the university based on Edith Stein's concept of empathy").
Her main research topics are emotions and intersubjectivity, from the philosophical analysis in the field of Ethics, Politics and Philosophical Anthropology. She is a researcher candidate for the SIN since 2023.
