She holds a degree in Philosophy from Universidad Panamericana, Campus Mexico. The thesis with which she graduated received the award from the Asociación Filosófica de México for the best undergraduate thesis in philosophy at the national level. She holds a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and is a former Cambridge Trust scholar. She holds a master's degree in Politics from Oxford University and is a former CONACyT scholar. She has been a member of the Institute of Humanities at Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara, for 13 years. She has taught History of Culture, Person and Society, Ethics, Social Philosophy and Political Philosophy, and is a professor and advisor of the Anthropology and Ethics Specialty. She has headed the Academy of Social and Political Philosophy and the Academy of Anthropology and Ethics. In addition, she has been a visiting professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at Universidad Panamericana, Campus Mexico City. Her areas of specialization are Political Philosophy, in particular the theory of democracy, John Locke's thought and feminist philosophy. She also has interests and publications on liberal arts education.
