He is a Biochemical Engineer by the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, he studied the specialty in Optimization and Industrial Management, the Master in Optimization of Productive Systems in the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara. He is a certified auditor in ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 14000 by BSI, is certified in the application of Lean Manufacturing, TOC and Six Sigma systems. He has worked in different companies as quality control and production manager, has developed several consulting programs in several companies in areas such as: quality, maintenance, logistics and production. He is a professor of subjects such as plant installation, production planning and control, design of production systems, quality systems, industrial logistics, supply chain, optimization of production systems, chemistry, thermodynamics, among others in the school of engineering. He is currently the coordinator of engineering graduate programs. He is a personal friend of Dr. Octavio Carranza and Dr. Federico Sabriá, international researchers and consultants.

His areas of interest are: quality systems design, production management and control, process standardization and implementation of production systems, as well as supply chain design and management.
