Mónica Apango Partida holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, with a specialization in International Political
, from the University of Guadalajara.
She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the same university. During her master’s studies (
), she completed a research fellowship at the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (
) in Moscow (April and May 2017).
He completed a certificate program in European Studies funded by the Jean Monnet Chair at
the European Union, in partnership with the University of Guadalajara (2015–2017).
In the realm of state politics, Dr. Mónica Apango served in the “
” (Women’s Parliament) of the Jalisco State Congress (2019–2020), where she introduced a constitutional amendment
that seeks to recognize parents’ right to educate their children
while safeguarding the best interests of the child.

She is currently the Head of the Academy of History at the Institute of Humanities. She has
taught in the undergraduate law program and is currently a professor in the Humanities.
She has taught courses in the History of Culture, Social and Political Philosophy, Humanity and
the Contemporary World, Political Theory, and Law, Society, and the State.
