Ricardo Macías Quijas

Engineer in Electronics and Digital Communication Systems from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. Master of Science with Specialty in Electrical Engineering option Telecommunications from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic (CINVESTAV) Guadalajara unit obtained through his thesis work: "Design, Implementation and Verification of a VLSI integrated circuit for the Generic Framing Procedure (GFP)". He has work experience in functional verification projects of VLSI integrated circuits for data telecommunications in transport networks. He is currently pursuing his PhD in engineering at Universidad Panamericana campus Aguascalientes.
As research projects he has used VHDL for the design of high speed fiber optic telecommunication systems, telephony and switching systems, as well as signal processing and switching systems for voice signals in telephone networks.

He has taught master's degree courses in Telecommunications at the University of Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador and training courses for Centro Nacional de Capacitación del Sureste and Centro Nacional de Capacitación de Occidente of the Comisión Federal de Electricidad.

Within the faculty of engineering, he has served as head of the electrical, electronics and control academy, head of the electronics and digital systems career and academic secretary, and has also taught subjects in electronics engineering, mechatronics and robotics. He is currently the director of graduate studies at the School of Engineering.
