She holds a doctorate and master's degree in Art History from UNAM, and a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Guadalajara. She is a professor and researcher at the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, and a member of the National System of Researchers of the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation at the Candidate level. She specializes in studies on photography and modern art, and has collaborated as a researcher of intangible cultural heritage in the Government of Zapopan and the Ministry of Culture of the State of Jalisco. She is co-author of the books Librado García Smarth. La vanguardia fotográfica en Jalisco (Premio Antonio García Cubas 2020, category "Libro de arte", INAH-Secretaría de Cultura Federal), 100 años de fotografía en El Universal (Secretaría de Cultura Federal-El Universal, 2016) and Ciudad de México 1917-2017. Crónica de una conquista democrática (Asamblea Legislativa del Distrito Federal-El Universal, 2017), among others; and is the author of Fotografía en las aceras de Guadalajara. Representación, imagen e historia (Consejo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes de Jalisco, 2010).
