Doctor of Law; tenured professor (Level B) at the School of Law of the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City Campus, and professor at the School of Law of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). 

He has been a visiting professor at the University ofNotre Dame in Indianaand is a Level 1 researcher in the SECIHTI National Researcher System. 

He is the author of the book La dignidad humana y su protección constitucional en México, published by the Biblioteca Porrúa de Derecho Procesal Constitucional and coordinator of two other books.

He has published numerous scholarly articles on human rights in specialized journals, both nationally and internationally, including*Cuestiones Constitucionales*and the*Boletín Mexicano de Derecho Comparado*, publishedby the Institute for Legal Research (IIJ) at UNAM; the*Anuario de la Facultad de Derecho* of the University of A Coruña, Spain; and the*Forced Migration Review*journalofthe University of Oxford.

He is an Editorial Board Member of the journal*Cuestiones Constitucionales*published by the IIJ at UNAM; a Board Member of the Institute of International Legal Studies at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain; and an Associate Founder of the Governing Board of the Universidad Panamericana IPADE. 

He is a full member of the Illustrious National Bar Association of Mexico, an associate member of the Mexican Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation, and a member of the General Council of the Mexican Bar.
