He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in history from the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Ph.D. in Documentation from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He currently serves as a professor and researcher and as Secretary of Research at the School of Communication at the Universidad Panamericana. He is a member of the SNII (Level I), the International Network of Communication Historians, the Network of Historians of the Press and Journalism in Ibero-America, and the Editorial Board of *Balajú: Journal of Culture and Communication* at the Universidad Veracruzana.
