Dr. Alberto Ross holds a B.A. in Philosophy from UP, an M.A. in Philosophy from UNAM and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Navarra and UNAM. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Centre Léon Robin (University of Paris IV-Sorbonne) and is a graduate of IPADE. Since 1999, he has been a Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, the Institute of Humanities and the Postgraduate Program in Law at UP. In 2021, he became Director of the Institute of Humanities and President of the Latin American Association of Ancient Philosophy. During the 2021-22 cycle, he was Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Center for Hellenic Studies and the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Ross is a member of the SNI of CONACYT level 2 and author of articles, chapters and books specialized in the field of Ancient Philosophy among which the monograph "God, Eternity and Motion in Aristotle" and the volume "Time and Cosmology in Plato and the Platonic Tradition" co-edited with D. Vázquez in Brill's Plato Studies Series stand out.
