"Dr. Juan Carlos López Pimentel received the MSc and PhD in Computer Science from ITESM-CEM, 2004 and 2008 respectively. During that time he received a CONACyT scholarship and a scholarship from ITESM-CEM for his academic performance. Graduated with honors in Computer Systems Engineering from ITTG. In 2021 he received the Specialty in Antr. and Ethics from UP-Gdl. International participations in: 2005, Munich University of Technology, Marktoberdorf Germany, topic: Logical Aspects of Secure Computer Systems; 2006, IT University of Copenhagen, Denmark, topic: Protocols for Security and Mobility; 2011, Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute, USA, topic: VEX Robotics Advance Course; and 2014, Oklahoma State University, USA, topic: Project 100,000 Fall Session.

Since 2018 he is a Professor at UPGdl and currently a member of the National System of Researchers, Level 1. His research interests are Blockchain, Computational Security and Distributed Systems."
