Luis Xavier López-Farjeat received his Doctorate in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Navarra, Spain, in 2001. He is a tenured professor and researcher (Level D) in the School of Philosophy at the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City Campus. He is a Level III member of the National System of Researchers.
He is the editor of *Tópicos, Revista de Filosofía* (https://revistas.up.edu.mx/topicos). He is the associate director of the “Aquinas and ‘the Arabs’ International Working Group” (www.AquinasAndTheArabs.org).
His areas of interest include classical Arabic and Islamic philosophy, the theory of argumentation, epistemology and the philosophy of mind, ethics and political philosophy, the ethics of migration, the philosophy of religion, and the philosophy of art. He has published several books and numerous scholarly articles and book chapters on these topics. In 2021, he published the book *Classical Islamic Philosophy: A Thematic Introduction* with Routledge.
