Dr. Lourdes Martínez Villaseñor is a Computer Systems Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Estado de México, Master in Family Education from IPCE of Universidad Panamericana and PhD in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México. She is a level D research professor in the area of artificial intelligence at Universidad Panamericana and academic head of the Master's program in Data Science. She has the distinction of level 1 of the National System of Researchers of Conahcyt and Research Professor level D of the Universidad Panamericana. She is President of the Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence. She won the award for Woman Leader in Responsible Artificial Intelligence in North America 2023. This year she is also winner of the Trailblazer Award - Woman in AI of the Year in North America 2025. Her main research interests are artificial intelligence applied to healthcare, user modeling, and the ethics of artificial intelligence. She has been a faculty member for over 32 years and author of more than 65 publications in international journals and conferences, book chapters and books in the area of artificial intelligence.
