She is a Peruvian national. She holds a Law Degree from the University of Piura, Peru; a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Navarra, Spain; a research stay on the Social State and Public Administration at the University of Münster, in Münster, Germany; and a PhD in Law from the University of Navarra, Spain with the thesis entitled "The protection of fundamental rights in social benefits: relevance of the organization and procedure", under the direction of Dr. Ángel J. Gómez Montoro and qualified as outstanding CUM LAUDE.

She has been a member of the teacher training program at the University of Piura, Peru and a scholar of different national and foreign institutions. She has been a full-time researcher at the Centro de Investigaciones Jurídico-Políticas of the Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala; full-time professor of the Law Department of the Universidad de las Américas Puebla; and Director of Faculty Development of the School of Social Sciences and Government of the Tec de Monterrey.

She is the author of the book Derechos fundamentales y prestaciones sociales. Una aproximación desde la teoría de la organización y el procedimiento, published by the Centro de estudios políticos y Constitucionales de Madrid, Spain; and is the author of various doctrinal articles in indexed journals, both national and foreign.

She is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers Level I and a member of the Peruvian Association of Constitutional Law. Her area of expertise is Constitutional Law and she is currently a full time research professor at the Law School of Universidad Panamericana, campus Mixcoac.
