Román Rodríguez-Aguilar holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the School of Economics at the National Polytechnic Institute. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the School of Engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a Master’s degree in Administration and Public Policy from the School of Government and Public Policy at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM), a postgraduate degree in Applied Statistics from the Institute for Research in Applied Mathematics and Systems at UNAM, a specialization in Philosophical Anthropology from the National School of Philosophy, Psychology, and Sociology ( Universidad Panamericana ), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UNAM.

First-place winner of the 2015 National Prize for Research in Health Economics, awarded by the GlaxoSmithKline Foundation and the Mexican Foundation for Health. He is a Level II member of the National System of Researchers of SECHTI (Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation).

Dr. Rodríguez-Aguilar is currently a Tenured Research Professor (Level C) in the School of Business at the Universidad Panamericana.
