Dr. Antonio Valderrábano González

He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in Electronics from the Technological Institute of Puebla; a Master of Science in Electronics from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE); and a Doctor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV), Guadalajara Campus.

He has previously worked at global electronics manufacturing companies such as Solectron and Molex and has taught undergraduate courses at the Universidad Iberoamericana, the Universidad Politécnica de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara, and the Universidad Panamericana. The courses he has taught include Power Electronics, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Digital Control, Sequential Control, Sensors and Actuators, and Digital Signal Processing. He has completed research stays at the Energy Safety and Control Laboratory in the Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and in the Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering and Applied Science, at the University of Colorado Denver.

He currently works as a professor and researcher at the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus, where he teaches courses in Analog Electronics, Electrical Circuits, Power Electronics, and Digital Systems. His areas of interest include power electronics, the applications and control of electronic power converters, flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS), and power quality.

He is a Level 2 member of the National System of Researchers. He has published 59 articles in internationally indexed journals and 9 book chapters. His articles have been cited more than 2,300 times, and his h-index is 23.
