Ari Barrera earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Intelligent Systems in 2017 from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. He is currently a professor and researcher in the Department of Computer Science within the School of Engineering at the Universidad Panamericana. He previously worked as a software and machine learning engineer at the Big Data Enterprise and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Bristol Business School, University of the West of England. Ari is a Level 1 member of the National System of Researchers and an associate member of the Mexican Academy of Computing. He has 12 scientific publications indexed in journals such as Elsevier and Sensors; the most recent is an article titled “Generating real-world-like labeled synthetic datasets for construction site applications.”
