Jafet Rodríguez holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Universidad Panamericana, as well as a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Tec de Monterrey. His research areas include human-computer interaction, serious games, and mixed reality. With more than 18 years of experience in industry and academia, he has led projects related to smart cities and autonomous vehicles that have been presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and he has published numerous scientific articles in international conferences and journals of the IEEE and ACM. He has been an active member of this association and has served as co-founder and president of the national Computer Graphics chapter, as well as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars in the United States, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, and Mexico.
He has also served on the Board of Directors of IJALTI, as a mentor in programs run by Ciudad Creativa Digital and the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, and as an Ambassador for Guadalajara on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism. In addition, he actively contributes to newspapers, radio, and television, particularly through a weekly segment on QuieroTV. He is currently a Research Professor (SNII Level C) and Dean of the School of Engineering and Architecture at the Universidad Panamericana , Guadalajara Campus.
