Luis Alberto Rosa Sierra

Professor Luis Alberto Rosa Sierra earned a master’s degree in Product Design and Development from the University of Guadalajara (2002) and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2008). He has been a professor at the National Institute of Technology and Higher Education ( Universidad Panamericana ) since 2014 and currently serves as the Head of the Academy of Design and Innovation in the School of Engineering.

He is a Level II member of the National System of Researchers. He has won the “Diseña México MX” National Design Award in 2016, 2020, and 2021 in the following categories: Industrial Design—Hardware for Electronic Products, and a special award for the product with the greatest technological impact. He has published articles in scientific journals indexed in Scopus, such as *Healthcare* and *Advances in Industrial Design*.
