Professor Mariano Navarro holds degrees in Journalism and Philosophy, as well as a Ph.D. in Communication. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Iowa in the United States and the University of Westminster in England. His doctoral dissertation was awarded the University of Navarra’s Extraordinary Doctoral Prize in the Social Sciences.

Since 2011, he has been working at the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico Campus, where he is a Tenured Research Professor (Level A), and has held positions such as Head of the Research Academy, Academic Secretary, and, currently, Director of the School. He is a member of the National System of Researchers, as well as various academic and research associations.

His research interests and academic work focus on the philosophy of communication and media, the historical origins of communication studies, and the intersections between media and religion.
