An economist by training with a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, he has been a member of the National System of Researchers since 2010. He specializes in financial regulation, economic growth, inequality, and technological change.

He has been a research professor since 2005 and has served as the coordinator of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at public institutions of higher education. At the Universidad Panamericana , he has served as head of the Academy of Economics in the School of Business, academic secretary, and research secretary at the School of Government and Economics, and he currently serves as research secretary for the School of Business.

He has 15 years of experience in teaching and research. His scholarly work includes articles, books, book chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences.
