Dr. Samuel Nucamendi is an industrial engineer who graduated from the Technological Institute of Tuxtla Gutiérrez (ITTG). He also holds a Master of Science in Quality and Productivity Systems, as well as a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences, both from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM) (including a doctoral research fellowship with the Intelligent Computing group at the University of La Laguna (ULL) in Spain). He also holds an international Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Breakthrough Management Group International (BMGI).
He currently serves as a tenured research professor (D) and head of the Academy of Operations in the School of Engineering at the Universidad Panamericana.
Dr. Nucamendi has been a member of the Mexican Operations Research Society (SMIO) since 2012, and since 2017, he has been a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), currently at Level 1.
