Sergio Velázquez Rodríguez

Chemical Engineer and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Guadalajara. Ph.D. in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. IPADE’s D1 and INNOVAD programs. Former member of the National System of Researchers (2005–2021). Full Professor (“D”).

He was a Research Professor (Level A) at the Polymer Laboratory of the School of Chemical Sciences at the University of Guadalajara. He has been a professor at the Guadalajara Campus of the National Institute of Technology ( Universidad Panamericana ) since January 1992.

He served as Coordinator of the Schools of Engineering, as well as General Coordinator of the master’s programs in Production Systems Optimization and Construction Management. He was Director of Graduate Engineering Programs and of the School of Civil Engineering and Management. He served as Academic Secretary of the School of Engineering.

Vice Rector for Research at the Guadalajara Campus from 2017 to 2022 and subsequently Vice Rector of the Guadalajara Campus. He is currently Vice Rector General for Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( Universidad Panamericana ) and a member of the Rector’s Council.

He has published articles in indexed journals and presented at conferences in the fields of polymers and construction materials chemistry.
