During the last school year, full-time international students participated in academic exchanges, international competitions, innovation projects, internships, sports activities, and clinical experiences in various countries, strengthening their professional profiles while pursuing their studies in Mexico.
FromFrance and Spain to Japan, Colombia, and the United States,students from the Universidad Panamericana have represented the institution on the international stage, demonstrating the academic excellence and well-rounded education that characterize our institution.
Academic exchanges that broaden horizons
One example isHernesto Urbina Hernández, a student originally fromEl Salvador who ispursuing a dual degree inBusiness Administration and Finance and International Businessat the Aguascalientes campus.
As part of his international education, he completed an academic exchange atEM Strasbourg Business School inFrance, where he deepened his knowledge of international business, honed his French and English language skills, and built a multicultural network of contacts.
In addition, he represented the Universidad Panamericana at theSchlesinger Global Family Enterprise Case Competition, organized by theUniversity of Vermont inthe United States.
For her part,Isabela Ruiz Baires, a Salvadoran student majoring inBusiness Administration and Marketing, participated in an international summer program at theInstituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB)inMadrid, Spain, where she took courses related to international business management and interacted with students from various European countries and other regions of the world.
International Competitions That Foster College Talent
Participation in global competitions is also part of the international experience for students at the Universidad Panamericana.
Estuardo Gálvezrepresented the institution at major business analysis competitions, including theGlobal Business Case Competitionat theUniversity of Washington inSeattle and theHeavener International Case Competitionat theUniversity of Florida in Gainesville.
These competitions bring together college teams from various disciplines to solve complex business cases under pressure and within time limits, developing skills in leadership, strategic analysis, and decision-making.
Engineering, Innovation, and Sports with a Global Reach
International opportunities have also allowed engineering students to participate in high-level projects.
InMichigan, United States,Valeria Machuca, a Salvadoran studentmajoring in Innovation and Design Engineering, was a member of theMotorsport Bonaterra Formula SAE team, participating in an international automotive development competition in which students design, build, and test a Formula 1-style single-seater race car.
In addition,Matías Camacho,aBolivianCivil Engineeringalumnus,excelled in competitions organized by theAmerican Concrete Institute (ACI). His performance earned him third place in theMortar Workability Competition, held inNew Orleans, United States.
In addition to his academic involvement, Matías actively participated in student organizations such as the Pan-American University Council and the Student Association, strengthening his leadership skills and commitment to the institution.
Life-Changing International Experiences
The well-rounded education also includes athletic and professional opportunities.Irvin León Solórzano, aGuatemalanstudent majoring inBusiness Administration and International Business, participated in triathlon competitions inPeru and Colombia—experiences that helped strengthen his resilience, discipline, and ability to adapt.
Meanwhile,Mateo Bascopé Jaldín, aBolivianstudent majoringin Food Business Management, completed his internship inKamakura, Japan, where he worked in the hospitality industry while experiencing a deep cultural and linguistic immersion.
This experience allowed him to develop intercultural skills and gain a global perspective in an environment completely different from his own.
International Training in the Health Field
International experiences have also extended to clinical and specialized care settings.Mario Ramírez Cierra, apsychologystudent fromEl Salvador, participated in an academic exchange program at theUniversity of La Sabana inColombia, where he collaborated with students from various Latin American countries to observe and analyze psychological cases within a specialized academic setting.
