  • Pan-American Research Promotion Fund University 2026

    The Universidad Panamericana full-time faculty members to submit proposals for scientific research through the 2026 Research Promotion Fund, which is designed to strengthen knowledge generation in the areas identified by the institution.

    This call for proposals funds research projects that emphasize interdisciplinary approaches, integrate at least two fields of knowledge, and contribute to solving complex problems. Projects must include a formal research protocol, a defined research team, and institutional support.

    It is intended exclusively for full-time faculty members at the Universidad Panamericana.

    Projects will have a maximum duration of 12 months and will receive up to $200,000 MXN in funding per proposal. Applications will be evaluated based on methodological rigor, potential impact, and interdisciplinary integration.

  • Call for Proposals 2026: Jalisco Scientific Development Fund (FODECIJAL) – Social Challenges


    The Government of Jalisco, through COECYTJAL, invites universities, research centers, companies, and organizations to submit research and technological development projects aimed at addressing the state’s priority issues.

    The call for proposals funds basic and applied research projects and technological development initiatives focused on social challenges such as health, sustainability, water management, energy, the environment, and rural development, prioritizing innovative solutions with local applications.

    Proposals must generate scientific or technological solutions with the potential for implementation and collaboration with user institutions in Jalisco. The call is open to
    organizations based in the state with R&D&I capabilities.

  • COECyTJAL – Gobierno de Jalisco Convocatoria 2026 Formación de Talento Altamente Especializado

    El Gobierno de Jalisco, a través de COECYTJAL y la Secretaría de Innovación, Ciencia y
    Tecnología, convoca a universidades, centros de investigación, empresas y
    organizaciones a presentar proyectos orientados a la especialización y reconversión
    de talento en sectores estratégicos del estado.

    La convocatoria financia iniciativas de formación de capital humano en áreas como
    salud, agroindustria, electrónica y alta tecnología, y turismo, con el objetivo de
    fortalecer el ecosistema de innovación y responder a las necesidades del sector
    productivo.

    Las propuestas deben ser presentadas por instituciones y empresas con domicilio en
    Jalisco, enfocadas en desarrollar talento altamente capacitado alineado a los sectores
    estratégicos.

    COECyTJAL convoca a universidades, centros de investigación y organizaciones en Jalisco a presentar proyectos de investigación aplicada y desarrollo tecnológico orientados a la innovación y vinculación con el sector productivo.

    Está dirigida a instituciones públicas y privadas con domicilio en el estado, que desarrollen proyectos con impacto en sectores estratégicos como salud, agroindustria y tecnología.

  • FIMPES–UQ Joint Research Seed Fund 2026

    The Federation of Mexican Private Institutions of Higher Education (FIMPES) and The University of Queensland (UQ) are inviting research teams to apply for their joint seed fund, which is designed to strengthen international academic collaboration and support the development of early-stage research projects.

    The call for proposals will fund up to two projects, each with a grant of $10,000, for activities that promote collaboration, such as academic mobility, workshops, working meetings, and the development of joint proposals. Projects must have a maximum duration of 12 months.

    It is open to teams composed of researchers from at least two FIMPES member institutions and one UQ institution, in fields such as energy, health, the environment, infrastructure, agri-food, and advanced manufacturing.

  • BBVA Foundation – Leonardo Scholarships in Latin America

    The BBVA Foundation is launching its Leonardo Scholarships program for the first time in Latin America, targeting mid-career researchers and creators in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Peru.

    The call for proposals will award 65 grants of up to $50,000 for projects in fields such as basic sciences, engineering, artificial intelligence, the environment, the humanities, and the arts. Projects may be carried out over a period of 12 to 18 months, with flexibility in their implementation.

    It is aimed at professionals between the ages of 30 and 45 who have established careers and high potential, with the goal of promoting scientific innovation and cultural creation in the region. This initiative is part of the international expansion of a program that has supported hundreds of researchers in Spain since 2014.
