PANAMERICANA LIFE

ART, CULTURE AND COMMUNICATION

The dissemination of culture is the function of the university that faces the most difficulties in the educational process, often failing to take advantage of the creativity, expression and innovation that art and culture bring to the curriculum. This is a consequence of the globalisation of the economy, the digital society, the increase in cultural diversity, the change in notions of space and time, the push for science over art. Advances in various scientific research, within the framework of aesthetics, pedagogy, psychology and neuroscience have shown how the artistic dimension improves the human dimension, cognitive skills such as attention, concentration, analysis and synthesis, and social skills such as expression and communication are enhanced through art.
