He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from the Universidad Panamericana, and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes. His research focuses on the thought and influence of Ernst Cassirer. He is the co-author of the books Myth, Knowledge, and Action: Continuity and Change in Cultural Processes (2017, Peter Lang); The Bounds of Myth. The Logical Path from Action to Knowledge (2021, Brill); Ernst Cassirer. The Symbolic Unity of Culture (2024, Peter Lang); and The Universal Form of the Singular. The Early Philosophy of Ernst Cassirer (1898–1917) (Brill, 2026).
He is also the author of more than 20 scholarly articles focusing on the work of Cassirer. He is a Level I member of the National System of Researchers and a Level C tenured professor at the Universidad Panamericana.
