Salvador Escalante-Lozano completed his doctoral studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He earned a Master’s degree in Ancient Philosophy and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Panamericana. His doctoral dissertation is on personal identity in Plato. His research focuses on ancient theories of identity, the soul, and agency. He also studies the relationship between philosophy, culture, and literature in ancient poets such as Homer and Sappho.
