Abraham Mendoza holds a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Pennsylvania State University. He has been with the Universidad Panamericana since 2000, where he is currently a Full Professor. In addition, he has served as Director of Industrial Engineering and Dean of the School of Engineering. He is currently Vice President for Research. He is a member of the National System of Researchers.
In 2015, he was named Professional of the Year by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. In 2016, he received the “Manuel López Cotilla” Award for his outstanding contributions to industry-university-government collaboration. In 2017, he was named Graduate of the Decade by the Society of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Pennsylvania State University.
His research interests include: supply chain logistics, operations management, transportation, facility design, and materials handling.
