Abraham Mendoza holds a Master of Science and a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Pennsylvania State University. Since 2000 he has worked at Universidad Panamericana, where he is currently Full Professor D. Additionally, he has been Director of Industrial Engineering and Dean of the School of Engineering. He is currently Vice Rector General of Research. He is a member of the National System of Researchers. In 2015 he was recognized as the most outstanding professional of the year by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. In 2016 he received the "Manuel López Cotilla" award for his outstanding career in business-university-government linkage. In 2017 he was recognized as a Graduate of the Last Decade by the Society of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing at Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include: supply chain logistics, operations management, transportation and facility design, and materials handling.
