October 30, 2023.— With the aim of promoting a better understanding of copyright among the faculty, recognizing its importance in academic and research, the Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of the Vice President for Educational Innovation at the Universidad Panamericana held a fundamental course on “Copyright” across all three campuses. This course was aimed at the academic community and key university departments, such as internationalization, academic services, and the Talent Center.
Background: Collaborative Commitment
In response to the various rulings issued in Mexico regarding copyright, the Intellectual Property Committee worked in collaboration with the National Copyright Institute (INDAUTOR), to develop thematic content on the subject. The purpose is to educate the University on the importance of respecting copyright.
Respect for copyright is a fundamental principle of intellectual integrity that applies to all members of the academic faculty. To strengthen the culture of respect for copyright and improve academic and research practices, the Office of the Vice President for Educational Innovation was invited to participate.
