How did the "Todos Somos Blue" program come about?

This initiative arose because last year it was not possible to hold a kermesse like the one in 2019 to celebrate and thank the "Men in Blue" for their work at the University. For this reason, it was decided to raise the necessary funds to purchase the tablets. In order to calculate who would be given tablets, a survey was conducted and it was agreed that one tablet per family would be given to those with children between 5 and 15.

UP Sports played a very important role in reaching the goal by supporting the 12th UP race, which raised the funds.

To begin with, when registering, a donation of 50 pesos was requested, and the dynamic consisted of registering the distance traveled through the K-Hero app. For every thousand kilometers accumulated, the insurance company Lockton donated 10 thousand pesos to the cause.

In addition to Lockton, the race was also sponsored by Garcia Accountants, an accounting consulting firm.

Twenty-four students participated in the implementation and organization of the project, of which eight formed the committee and ten were students who, despite having completed their social work, decided to carry out this initiative.

The Universidad Panamericana is proud to have this type of event where we can express our gratitude to the "Men in Blue", who are a fundamental pillar of our community.
