Mexico City, December 1, 2022.— With the aim of providing our students at the Universidad Panamericana comprehensive support, the Advisory Department at SMART Center has expanded access to the Basic Online Training (CBO) to more students.
CBO is a program designed for university advisors, aimed at reinforcing the standards that the Universidad Panamericana from advising services, so that this support becomes a positive experience for students in all areas of their lives.

More trained advisors
This training is conducted jointly by the three campuses that make up Panamericana: Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Aguascalientes. With this new cohort, there are now more than 130 advisors—both new and experienced—who have successfully completed the process of reinforcing key concepts, gaining knowledge, and preparing themselves in the field of college counseling over the past two and a half years at the Mexico City campus.
The aim is to reinforce key concepts and establish the principles of university advising to support students throughout their academic journey, which ranges from the adjustment process and career development to the creation of a life plan that balances the student’s personal and professional lives.

A key pillar
The training sessions emphasize the role of empathy, which serves as a cornerstone for providing the best possible care—care that takes into account the difficulties we have faced in recent years: uncertainty, the hybrid model, and the return to in-person learning, with all the challenges they entail. Counselors must let young people know that they are on their side no matter what.
Campus Advisory Mexico aims to continue providing training opportunities to equip all members of the advisory team, thereby serving as a support system for our students at the Universidad Panamericana.
