Aguascalientes, Ags. July 30, 2024. Universidad Panamericana Aguascalientes campus received for the first time the Safe and Healthy Workplace Environments (ELSSA)distinction awarded by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in coordination with the International Labor Organization (ILO) of the United Nations (UN).
What is ELSSA?
ELSSA is an initiative that seeks to promote well-being in the workplace. "It is a distinction that is applied voluntarily, that is, if the institution or company wants to obtain it, it must accredit certain indicators that are focused, above all, on the health and safety of workers within the company," says Leonardo Mendoza Hernández, a key collaborator in the search for these recognitions .
It is an annual award that seeks to promote the health and safety of workers in the different institutions of the country, as well as to prevent illnesses, accidents at work and violence in the companies.
Obtaining the ELSSA distinction reflects the efforts of the Aguascalientes campus in the 10 ELSSA lines of action.
