SAUP 2023-2024 is sworn in

Mexico City, August 31, 2023.- The Alumni Society of the Universidad Panamericana (SAUP), the largest student group of our house of studies, carried out the swearing in of its representatives for the period 2023-2024.

The event was attended by executives from Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City and Ciudad Panamericana campuses, along with the outgoing and incoming members of the SAUP from both campuses.

Dr. Santiago García Álvarez, Rector of Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City and Panamerican City campus, addressed the incoming and outgoing presidents: "These meetings fill me with hope because I see young people with many illusions and committed and that make me think, without a doubt, of a better Mexico."

More than a title

To begin, Gabriela Marroquín, outgoing secretary of SAUP 2022-2023, spoke about her experience as secretary and addressed the incoming presidents: "I don't know what expectations the incoming presidents have, I only hope that they try to reach for the sky and that, if they fall, they know that there are people to catch them."

In her turn, the incoming vice-president, Macarena Cors, expressed her gratitude for her election as vice-president: "I would like to express my deepest gratitude to you for the trust you have placed in me, for being your vice-president of this alumni society. I am aware that it is not only a title, but also a great responsibility that I assume with great humility and determination".

Afterwards, Larissa Rosas, outgoing president of the Ciudad Panamericana student council, reflected on how complex the task of SAUP presidents is: "Assuming the leadership of a career is not easy, much less coordinating several, it is a challenge that involves discipline, perseverance and a lot of passion".

Change of address

Finally, Aranza Cerezo, outgoing president, addressed those present and gave an account of what she had achieved during her term. During her speech, she spoke about how important this experience was for her: "It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as president of the SAUP during this time," she said.

He added, "I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support and dedication to our student community and for believing in the power of unity and collaboration".

Afterwards, Aranza made the symbolic change of the baton to the incoming president. At the exchange, he addressed Paulina Cerda: "I want to wish you the best of success in this new adventure," he said.

For her part, Paulina, upon receiving the baton, addressed the audience and spoke of how important the position was for her: "Assuming the position as the first president of ESDAI makes me feel a world of emotions, among which stand out joy, gratitude and a great sense of responsibility to be appointed by a great group of students, leaders, talented and committed to their vocation".

Subsequently, MBA. Antonio Castro D'Franchis, Director of University Life, presented diplomas of recognition to the outgoing presidents of the SAUP 2022-2023.
