ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; November 16, 2022.- The Student Group of the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade (COMCE) of the Panamericana campus Guadalajara joined forces with the COMCE of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara (UAG), to hold the Friendship Cup, an event in favor of the association Córdica 21.
The aforementioned association is dedicated to supporting children with Down syndrome, who in addition to running a cafeteria that is staffed mainly by young people with this condition, have a soccer league.
The event consisted of a friendly soccer match in which students from both universities participated. The matches were organized as follows: The third place match was held at our university's facilities.
Subsequently, the final was played at the 3 de Marzo stadium, in which Panamericana was victorious, defeating UAG by two goals to one.
At halftime, an exhibition match took place between the children of Córdica 21 and some former professional players of Chivas.
During the event , multiple activities were carried out in order to achieve the goal of raising $35,000 for the association, as well as to raise awareness among the student community in these areas.
Miguel, a Panamericana student, told us about his experience being part of this event:
"The truth is that it feels very nice because the children are here and you can see their excitement at being in a stadium and it gives us great pleasure to be able to support them, we are very happy."
The Universidad Panamericana campus Guadalajara, celebrates the fact that these activities are carried out to benefit awareness and inclusion within the university community.
