Mexico City, April 10, 2023.— With the aim of establishing joint commitments to health education and research, and with the specific goal of improving the overall conditions of the communities served by the Pan-American Highway through SIPASA, the Universidad Panamericana signed a collaboration agreement with the Mexican Health Foundation (FUNSALUD).
The formal ceremony, held at our university, was attended by Dr. Santiago García Álvarez, president of the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City campus; Dr. Gregorio Tomás Obrador Vera, general director of Salud UP; Salvador Beltrán del Río, director of Institutional Development at the Universidad Panamericana ; Universidad Panamericana Jesús Jaime Ponce Águila, coordinator of Strategic Projects at FUNSALUD.
Common objectives
By signing this agreement, both institutions have committed to jointly:
-Health research.
–Collaborationin the design and implementation of specific teaching and research projects.
–Providephysical facilities and technical equipment, as well as internships and community service opportunities.
-Exchange scientific and technological expertise through scientific, academic, and technical staff, as well as with students.
-Organizing and conducting scientific and academic events, courses, conferences, outreach activities, and teaching activities as needed to promote scientific research, technological development, and education.

Founded in 1985, FUNSALUD aims to promote the development of high-level human resources and support health research, within a framework of collaboration and respect with the Government of the Republic.
Due to its autonomous and independent nature, governed by a strict code of ethics, this institution has facilitated collaboration between national and international companies and public entities, academia, universities, and research centers.
