ZAPOPAN, Jalisco; November 10, 2022.- In Mechatronics Engineering there are not only very good students, but also athletes, this is the case of Emilio Gonzalez, graduated in July of this year, who has been practicing Muay Thai (martial art of Thai origin) for a little over 10 years and recently won the national championship of the federation of ISKA (International Sport Kickboxing Association) in middleweight.

Emilio was trained by Carlos Navarro for 2 months and had to lose 5 kilos to enter the category up to 72 kilos.

The fight was planned to be 5 rounds of 3 minutes, but Emilio was named the winner from the 4th round by technical knock out.

"I felt very happy and content, one day after the fight was my birthday, so it was a double celebration because I also won the championship. It was the result of a lot of preparation, effort, sacrifice, discipline above all and will to fulfill my training and reach that goal.
